Team Liquid fell to GamerLegion, while OG twice beat 1win at PARI UNIVERSE

Hi! The day at PARI UNIVERSE by FISSURE was packed: Team Liquid first beat 1win and then lost to GamerLegion, while OG calmly closed out 1win in two maps. For such a short stretch of action, there was plenty here — long bloody games, near one-sided trades, and that’s exactly why I love following the day’s tournament results.

Team Liquid — 1win: Liquid win 2:0, but on very different maps

The series ended on 22.10.2026. Team Liquid took it 2:0, and if you only look at the final score, you might think it was pretty routine. But the first game was anything but an easy walk: 76:59, with kills ending 47:41. This was one of those games where a team doesn’t just close it out — it literally grinds out the win through a long, nerve-wracking map.

In the second map, Team Liquid left no doubt about who was controlling the series: 26:35 and a 36:7 kill score. The gap here was far too big to treat this as an even game — it looks like after the first map, Liquid found its rhythm much more comfortably, and 1win simply couldn’t find an answer.

On the draft for game one, Team Liquid had Techies, Earthshaker, Mars, Witch Doctor and Windranger, while 1win had Slark, Dazzle, Nyx Assassin, Dark Seer and Earth Spirit. What stands out to me here is that both sides were perfectly willing to build around fighting and control, but Liquid ultimately found the better way to finish off the long map. For Team Liquid, the best KDA came from m1CKe on Windranger at 20/3/14 with 826 GPM, as well as Malr1ne on Earthshaker at 9/7/31 with 794 GPM. For 1win, bzm stood out on Earth Spirit with 13/7/19 and 838 GPM, and 33 on Dark Seer with 10/11/23 and 729 GPM.

  • the first map lasted 76:59 and ended 47:41 in kills;
  • Team Liquid’s draft featured Techies, Earthshaker, Mars, Witch Doctor, Windranger;
  • 1win had Slark, Dazzle, Nyx Assassin, Dark Seer, Earth Spirit;
  • the best KDA for Team Liquid came from m1CKe on Windranger — 20/3/14;
  • bzm and 33 stood out statistically for 1win;
  • the second map ended in 26:35 with a 36:7 score;
  • in game two, Team Liquid picked Earthshaker, Batrider, Lifestealer, Witch Doctor, Spirit Breaker;
  • 1win had Earth Spirit, Techies, Bane, Beastmaster, Kez.

In the second game, Malr1ne once again came out among Team Liquid’s best, this time on Earthshaker with 11/1/14 and 645 GPM. The most eye-catching line, though, belonged to Wisper on Batrider: 7/1/20 and 528 GPM. For 1win, Pure had a very rough game on Kez — 1/4/4 with 474 GPM — while bzm on Earth Spirit finished at 2/6/3 with 412 GPM. It was already very clear here how quickly the series shifted from “we can still fight this” to “we need to change something now.”

OG — 1win: two matches where OG had more control and less chaos

The series ended on 23.10.2026, and OG took it 2:0. The first game was noticeably closer than the score might suggest: 37:39 and 21:19 in kills. But that’s exactly the kind of game where class shows — not through a blowout score, but through who handled the key moments better and reached a comfortable late game.

In the second game, OG looked much more convincing: 49:01 and 45:25 in kills. That’s a completely different picture — not a cautious win on thin ice, but full-blown dominance in a long game. And what seems important to me is that OG didn’t win off one good fight, but through steady pressure for almost the entire match.

In the first map, OG picked Dazzle, Gyrocopter, Bristleback, Terrorblade and Magnus, while 1win answered with Dragon Knight, Nature’s Prophet, Windranger, Mirana and Tidehunter. For OG, the best KDA belonged to Topson on Magnus with 2/1/15 and 522 GPM, while the gold numbers were especially impressive from Natsumi on Terrorblade: 8/1/5 and 928 GPM. For 1win, the most notable were Mikoto on Dragon Knight with 3/3/9 and 503 GPM and Whitemon on Mirana with 5/5/11 and 281 GPM.

In the second game, OG played through Earth Spirit, Keeper of the Light, Witch Doctor, Lone Druid and Dragon Knight, while 1win answered with Earthshaker, Techies, Doom, Weaver and Luna. Here, Natsumi’s numbers on Lone Druid really stand out — 9/1/10 at 877 GPM — along with SSS on Earth Spirit at 9/2/20 and 571 GPM. For 1win, the best KDA belonged to Ari on Weaver with 7/6/14 and 312 GPM, and Mikoto on Earthshaker with 4/6/12 and 506 GPM.

  • OG’s first map was 37:39 and 21:19 in kills;
  • OG’s second map was 49:01 and 45:25 in kills;
  • in game one, OG used Dazzle, Gyrocopter, Bristleback, Terrorblade, Magnus;
  • 1win had Dragon Knight, Nature’s Prophet, Windranger, Mirana, Tidehunter;
  • Topson and Natsumi stood out for OG in the first map;
  • in game two, OG picked Earth Spirit, Keeper of the Light, Witch Doctor, Lone Druid, Dragon Knight;
  • 1win had Earthshaker, Techies, Doom, Weaver, Luna;
  • Natsumi’s stats on Lone Druid were especially strong in the second map.

Team Liquid — GamerLegion: a series where Liquid ran out of reserve after the morning win

The series ended on 23.10.2026, and here Team Liquid found itself on the losing side — GamerLegion took the match 2:0. For me, this was the most telling series of the day: a team beats one opponent convincingly, then runs into a completely different pace and can’t find the answer. That’s always especially interesting to watch in Dota 2, because it shows just how quickly the picture can change even within a single day.

The first game lasted 52:27 and ended 30:45 on kills, not in Team Liquid’s favor. The drafts were very interesting here: Team Liquid picked Nature’s Prophet, Hoodwink, Batrider, Nyx Assassin and Pangolier, while GamerLegion answered with Earth Spirit, Dark Willow, Timbersaw, Windranger and Venomancer. The feeling was that both sides were ready to play through constant movement and map pressure, but GamerLegion executed its moments better.

For Team Liquid in game one, the most noticeable were Malr1ne on Pangolier with 5/6/16 and 646 GPM, and rincyq on Nature’s Prophet with 11/7/7 and 805 GPM. For GamerLegion, Fayde stood out on Timbersaw with 10/4/15 and 918 GPM, and RCY on Earth Spirit with 13/6/24 and 690 GPM. Those numbers explain exactly why the map swung GamerLegion’s way: when two players are driving the tempo that hard, it’s extremely difficult for the opponent to hold the initiative.

In the second game, GamerLegion closed the match out even more convincingly: 70:41 and 48:34 in kills. The near-hour duration says it all — this was a long, action-packed map where the fight never really stopped until the very end. On the draft, GamerLegion picked Dragon Knight, Dark Willow, Viper, Mirana and Invoker, while Team Liquid answered with Earthshaker, Windranger, Timbersaw, Hoodwink and Witch Doctor. What feels especially important here is that both sides had tools for a long fight, but GamerLegion was once again stronger in execution.

For GamerLegion, the standout KDA lines were Speeed on Mirana with 6/6/32 and 463 GPM, and Fayde on Dragon Knight with 12/6/18 and 747 GPM. For Team Liquid, Malr1ne stood out on Earthshaker with 10/6/16 and 795 GPM, and Boxi on Hoodwink with 7/8/12 and 500 GPM. But even those numbers weren’t enough for Team Liquid to turn the series around — GamerLegion simply stayed too consistent in steering both games to its own finish.

  • the first map of Team Liquid — GamerLegion lasted 52:27 and ended 30:45;
  • Team Liquid drafted Nature’s Prophet, Hoodwink, Batrider, Nyx Assassin, Pangolier;
  • GamerLegion had Earth Spirit, Dark Willow, Timbersaw, Windranger, Venomancer;
  • in the second map, Team Liquid played Earthshaker, Windranger, Timbersaw, Hoodwink, Witch Doctor;
  • GamerLegion picked Dragon Knight, Dark Willow, Viper, Mirana, Invoker;
  • Fayde, RCY and Speeed stood out in particular;
  • the second map lasted 70:41 and ended 48:34;
  • GamerLegion closed the series 2:0.

Day summary

In short, PARI UNIVERSE by FISSURE was all about team resilience. OG didn’t blink in a tight first game and stepped up confidently in the second, Team Liquid first survived a tough series against 1win, but then fell to GamerLegion, and 1win couldn’t find a working answer twice. I think days like this are especially useful to watch not just through the scoreline, but through the maps themselves: that’s where you can really see who can keep up the pace and who still struggles in a long series. We’ll see how this affects the tournament picture going forward — after a batch of matches like this, there’s definitely still room for interesting conclusions.

  2. That first Liquid map with Techies and a 76:59 timer feels like the definition of grind. Nobody got to relax for almost an hour and twenty, insane.

  5. Techies

  7. Had a turbo where one late Void chrono decided everything, so yeah, I trust the long game too much lol

  8. OG being the cleanest team in the block is the loudest take here. When they stop overthinking and just keep pressure up, it looks way easier than the score usually suggests.

    1. Mostly yeah, the pressure part is the key

    2. Pressure sounds fancy until one smoke dies.

  10. Liquid still look like a team that can beat anyone and then immediately drop the next series for no reason. Very on brand for Dota, very annoying.

    1. That kind of swing is normal when the teams are close. One best-of can look clean, the next one can fall apart just because the draft doesn’t give the same tools.

  11. Techies
